Richard Beasley teaches the Leicester Lionhearts club. He began martial arts training in the art of Jiu Jitsu in 2005 whilst study at Leicester University, and was taught by Jade Banks sensei and now by style founder Dr Richard Catterick. He completed his instructor qualifications and became one of the instructors
at the Leicester University Adult club in 2008. Also in 2008 he became the Leicester lionhearts instructor taking over from Mr Gary Tuck Sensei. The sports development team who provide a base of excellence for Leicester Lionhearts Club consist of Karen Williamson sensei, who is the senior blue belt at the adult Jiu Jitsu School and an experienced secondary and high school teacher. John Dowson Sensei who is also an experienced Jiu Jitsu Instructor, Trudy Dowson who is a Head of physical education for the local monitors teaching and provides and feedback on teaching techniques.
