Little Lion's regular achievements recognised officially!
The newest class to be incorporated into the Elite Martial Arts company underwent their first grading. The Little Lions class is attended by students aged between 4 years and 6 years old and is lead by Sensei Helen Catterick and numerous experienced helpers. Over the past few months, the students have been assessed and have earned black stripes on their belts indicating certain levels of achievement.
Sensei Helen and assistants (sensei Zak, Sensei Laura, Sempai Pete, Sempai Enke, Sempai Natalie) should be congratulated equally, as being a parent to 2 young children, I know that it is no mean feat engaging and maintaining attention levels within this age of students. Together with the skill and ability to control a difficult age group, the teachers have raised these students to a specific level in order to attend gradings. This grading (and all gradings in general!) demonstrated what has been worked on by the students over the last couple of months during the regular weekly classes
Everyone did fantastically well and all 18 students that attended the grading reached the required skill level and were presented with their first belt; a white with yellow stripe.
Well done to everyone involved. It was a really enjoyable event.
